I'm a Broadcast Communication graduate from Polytechnic University of the Philippines and yes peeps (with that long-maroon-with-round-bronze-thingy around my neck), I graduated with flying colors. They say that in surviving through the College jungle as a Cum Laude, one must be matalino or masipag or both. As for me, I think I'm just masipag. (hahaha!) Anyway, that is not exactly what this post is about. It was just the reason behind my Macau and Hong Kong Trip, an all-expense-paid vacation with my big sissy, Ate Rollaine, as her pre-graduation gift for me.
The trip was so last November 2008. I know. But I just want to share my memories in these 2 special administrative regions of China.
MACAU
MACAU
As the "Montecarlo of the Orient" and "Las Vegas of the East", its economy relies on gambling...but there's more to Macau than its casinos and I can attest to that. Here are some of the tourist spots that we've been to and you should go to if you're planning to visit Macau in the near future.
RUINS OF ST. PAUL'S It was my first time to meet my Ate's office mate, Ate Ana and her friends but look at us, it was like we've known each other for ages. |
SENADO SQUARE A public square in Macau paved with gorgeous wave-patterned montage of stones |
Queuing at the Money Changer?? FYI: The currency in Macau is Pataca |
THE VENETIAN A Hotel-Casino resort with an Oooooh-Mmmmy-Gooooosh-Architecture |
FISHERMAN'S WHARF It's the first theme park in Macau and the best part is....Admission is F-R-E-E. :) |
HONG KONG
Look closely. See? I have a bank in Hong Kong. Ha! :) (B)ank of (E)ast (A)sia |
At that moment, I felt like I was the happiest kid in the happiest place on earth. |
|
We weren't able to explore Hong Kong so I promise myself that I'll be back....with a vengeance. :)
Thanks for visiting my site. I'd love to hear from you.
