Thank You, 2012!

It's the last day of the Year 2012 and today, I want to look back to how great this year was for me. 2012 actually became a celebration of my dreams and new beginnings in my life. It was when I finally decided to start blogging. Whenever I get messages from people about how inspired they are through my blog, that pushes me more to continue sharing with all of you thoughts and stories worth sharing. (I'm working on a new blog name and you'll find out about that, soon.) And the most recent milestone in my life...I got married to a wonderful man plus we got our own home. All that in just one year! I won't ask for more because I really have enough right now. Anything else will be just a bonus. God obviously has been so good to me so for this brand new year, I just want to be closer to Him because I know that through this, everything else follows.

I don't just want to say goodbye to 2012 but thank you...thank you so much for giving me more than enough inspirations to get me through the Year 2013 and the years to come.

Let's all have a safe and happy new year!!

And oh before I forget, to help you decide which outfit to wear in welcoming the new year (while you still have a few hours!), here's the color of the Year 2013 according to www.pantone.com.

You're the BUMBLE to my BOOTH

Yes, I know...but it's not really "You're the bumble to my bee" that I'm talking about here. It's BUMBLEBOOTH. For those who don't know, BumbleBooth is the Photobooth business of my sister and her fiancé. What I admire about these two is how they exert their love and effort to their "baby"--from creating lovely layouts, taking good care of their props to uploading the photos on the cyberworld (they upload the photos on their fanpage just a few hours after an event).  Right now, they are working on a supah cool and unique way of how the printouts will look like but I think it's a surprise so Sssssshhhh Bea! hahaha :) For updates about this, like BumbleBooth on Facebook. Click here.

Anyway, on our Wedding Day, Bumblebooth was (of course!) invited.
To our family and friends who came and celebrated with us on our Big Day, you may view your Photobooth pictures here and here.

I'm Officially A Missus

Hello! I'm baaaack and I'm now Mrs. Kenneth Villaflor.

The 8th of December marked the first day of the rest of our lives and we want to thank each and everyone of you who celebrated with us, not just physically, but also through your prayers, greetings and messages. We are truly overwhelmed by the love and support everyone is showering us.

I got married to the man of my dreams and one of the many things I will always be proud of about our relationship is how we savor each stage. I was his girlfriend for 6 years, his fiancée for 1 year and 8 months and now, I'm soooo ready to be his wife...forever! Having a man who wants to marry me, not because of pressure or obligation, but simply because he loves me is such a perfect blessing. I know I'm not the best daughter or the best fiancée or the best sister or the best friend or generally the best person on earth but I can't thank God enough for still blessing me with more than I deserve.

I wanna share this very special and sweet wedding gift from our Photo and Video Team (Photoimagicraft). They surprised us with this Same Day Edit Slideshow of some of our photos during preparation and the Church Ceremony. Thank you so much to Kuya Gian and Ate Fidji. They are definitely one of our favorite wedding charms. We can't wait to share with you all our photos and videos but for now, watch this.

My Bridal Showers

I had not just one but two surprise Bridal Showers with my siblings, cousins, officemates and College friends. This bunch of sweet people made me feel so loved that I actually want to get married again and again and again because I really enjoy being spoiled (right hon? hahaha!)

Bridal Shower #1
My office loooveys surprised me with a Karaoke party / mini reunion at Red Box Greenbelt. Aside from the lovely people I get to be with 5 times a week, 9 hours a day, it was oh soooo nice to see some of my former officemates as well.

Thank you sooo much...Lelel (one of my Bridesmaids), for organizing this short but sweet get-together. Shasha and Beulah, for finding some time on your busy weekend schedule just to celebrate with us. April, for including this to your itinerary before going back to Dubai. JC, for choosing me over your Boss Richard (hehe!) Owen, for still making it after your Buffet date.

And thanks to my Ken for being their kasabwat. I was also surprised to see that he was there when he was supposed to be at work. That was what I knew until the girls told me they had another surprise. Akala ko nga, machong lalake na nasa malaking cake, si Ken lang pala!! Sayang! Nyahahaha! Just kidding!

Bridal Shower #2
I really don’t know how to start this but okay, let me try. Hmmm. Waaaaah! I’m super speechless up to this day. The way my siblings and cousins planned everything....just WOW! And the best part is...it was also a Stag party for Ken. Well, he knew about the plan but he thought that it was going to be just a Bridal Shower (again!) for me but nope! I couldn't be happier because they also thought of surprising him. After all, it's his wedding, too.

Thank you sooo much to my Maid-of-Honor, Ate Rollaine, my three Bridesmaids: Ate Karen, Ate Krista and Viel, my brother Nikole and sister-in-law Joan, my cousins: Nica, Arielle, Regitte, Isay and Erik, Pia, Ate Brenda, Renzo, James, Kuya Dominic, Arvee, Mads and also to my College friends: Mhalyn and Marel. Words can't express how grateful we are with the love and effort that were put together to make this possible. From all the little worries during our wedding prep, it's such a great feeling to know that we are surrounded by happy and genuine people who love us dearly. Again, thank you. Ken and I love you all!

Wedding Invites: Made With Love

We've been receiving quite a lot of compliments from our dear guests about our Wedding Invites and they admire it even more whenever we tell them that it's a labor of love. So, if we will combine my imagination and layout-ing skills, Ken's charm (for the free printing) and "cutting" skills (if there's such a thing!haha), my sister/Maid-of-Honor-to-be's creativity and Photoshop skills and a very supportive manpower (plus my Mommy's supervisory skills!hehe), I think we can now put up our own Wedding Invitation Factory! hahaha. We got to choose our own preferences so it became more personalized and guess what, we didn't even spend a thousand and a half for 70-something invites.

(I decided to keep our color motif a secret for now so I grayscaled the photos.)

Many thanks to my Ate Rollaine, Ate Brenda, Joan, Regitte, my Mommy and Nikole (our Iphone-tographer) for helping me and Ken with our DIY Wedding Invites. Our hardwork and efforts definitely paid off. Naks! :)

Our Oasis

A few weeks ago, Ken and I visited our soon-to-be-home-sweet-home. Our purpose was just to go to the Admin Office and ask some questions but unfortunately, it was closed because they were too busy with the Trick or Treat thingy for the kiddos and kiddos at heart. Well, it wasn't really unfortunate because we got to see the newly constructed amenities for the first time. Each unit is entitled to enroll 5 people for a LIFETIME use of swimming pools for FREE. So for our 3 remaining slots, ladies and gentlemen, we are now open for bidding! hahaha. just kidding!

Aside from the kiddie, adult and lap pools, the other amenities include the clubhouse, lagoon (not yet completed), entertainment rooms and gym. Other than these, Ken and I fell in love with this Filinvest condo because it's just mid-rise (5 floors) and single loaded with open spaces so you won't have a parang-nasa-ospital feeling.

With this kind of environment, I'm pretty sure that I will never get tired of saying "I'm home!"
I CAN'T WAIT!
